We are thrilled to share some exciting news: we’re heading back to Africa! And thanks to your prayers, encouragement, and generous support, you are very much part of this journey.
This blog will be your window into our adventure, so watch for updates along the way as we reconnect with old friends, strengthen partnerships, and continue the work you help make possible through the African Ministry Fund.
Our Travel Plans & Key Milestones
January 28 - We depart St. Louis for Nairobi, Kenya — arriving after a 24-hour journey filled with anticipation and gratitude.
January 31- A highlight of the trip: the Blessing of Elizabeth House in Juja, Kenya, our sustaining project for Star of Hope Orphanage. This moment represents years of commitment, prayer, and shared vision.
February 7- We will attend Sr. Mary Paul’s Microfinancing Conference, bringing together group leaders and others eager to learn, collaborate, and grow economic opportunity within their communities.
Visits & Connections
We are traveling with five suitcases filled with school supplies for children at Star of Hope Children’s Home and Amani School for Street Children. To everyone who contributed — thank you. Your generosity will be felt in very tangible ways.
In between scheduled events, we’ll be:
Visiting The Magdalene Project in Naivasha
Spending time at Amani School for Street Children
Meeting with our St. John microfinancing members on site
Each visit is an opportunity to listen, learn, and strengthen relationships that matter.
Who’s Going?
This journey brings together a wonderful group of committed travelers:
Sr. Carol Jean (CJ) Willie, SC — the backbone of AMF and a supporter from the very beginning
Bridget Flood — Director of the Incarnate Word Foundation
Toni Ponder — a new adventurer joining the mission
John and Elizabeth Cole — Sr. Toni’s niece and nephew
We are deeply grateful to walk this path with you. Your support makes every mile, meeting, and moment possible. Stay tuned — there is so much more to come.
With gratitude,
Sr. Toni Temporiti
