St. Michael's Program
Sister Toni, aware of the struggle the young people face when they are out of the orphanage at age 18, dreamed into existence an outreach to help these children find direction and purpose when they leave the orphanage.
St. Michael’s Program supports the graduates as they begin their young adult life.

Star of Hope Children's Orphanage
Star of Hope Children’s Orphanage, Founded in 1998 by the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood in Juja, Kenya, Star of Hope Children’s Orphanage is a place where children not only find safety but also family. The home is supported by the sisters’ farm and schools, from Kindergarten through Senior Secondary, creating a nurturing environment that sustains itself. Many young people who grew up at Star of Hope have gone on to thrive in professional careers and often return “home” to share encouragement and guidance with the next generation.

Currently, a total of 102 children from infancy to 18 years of age are being supported with food, clothing, shelter, medical attention, education and most of all …LOVE. No child is ever turned away.
Because they receive an excellent education through SOH, some of the young people qualify to go to the university; others have learned a trade while at the home, and they will go into the business world as an apprentice or perhaps start their own small business.
In January 2024, African Ministry Fund helped 13 young adults who aged out of the home. With training and financial support, several of these young people are attending university, and others have started a business.

Rose graduated from Secondary school in 2024. She is now in her second year at the University to get a degree in education. Rose plans to become a Missionary Sister of the Precious Blood in Kenya.
Rita always dreamed of flying. She persevered and received her pilot's license this year.

Mary is a successful business woman and now wants to help other young woman by setting up a micro-financing group as a way of paying forward all the help she has received.
Some of the students have become nurses, teachers, craftsmen, professionals. The education they receive while at SOH is exceptional and they have a great opportunity to make a successful life when they get a hand-up through the St. Michael’s Program.
